
Zenia






In 2019, The Zenith Insurance Company approached McCann Dublin to help them launch a web platform that would make it easy for small business owners – particularly hospitality entrepreneurs – to purchase workers’ compensation insurance online.
I worked with a team of designers to develop the brand from the ground up. We brainstormed name ideas, plastering the walls of our board room with sticky notes of all colours. The solution we landed on was one of my first ideas, Zenia.
Xenia was the Greek goddess of hospitality, the industry this platform aims to serve. Pairing that with the master brand’s name, Zenith, to form Zenia was the perfect solution.
From there we worked as a team to develop engaging and practical brand guidelines that could be used by members of the Zenia and Zenith teams and external partners. Usability was our focus. When developing the brand tone of voice I focused on offering useful tips and tricks for presentation and grammar and content creation, as well as outlining the brand personality and values.
Once we had developed a strong brand with a unique voice, we set about applying it to brand communications; everything from the platform itself and OOH to t-shirts and pens. I then worked with the UX and design teams to make the platform user journey as simple and engaging as the brand we had created.
The result? We have made it easier for a new generation of business owners to insure their businesses in states across the USA.
